After my long wait for the release of yahoo messenger for Windows Vista, the day has finally came. A couple of minutes ago, I received an email from Yahoo telling me that the new Yahoo Messenger for Windows Vista is now available for download.

As you can see from the screen shots I provided it is really different from the other versions of Yahoo messenger. It also make use of the Windows Vista Sidebar for adding quick contacts.

This is one really cool application that any windows Vista user should have. I just wish that this version is also as stable or if possible more stable than the previous version of Yahoo Messenger. Another thing, you can install Yahoo Messenger for Vista without uninstalling your previous Yahoo Messenger. Which means you can have 2 accounts open at the same time. I don’t know if it’s a bug or something but I like it this way. Although it doesn’t support much of the original features because this is only a preview and only capable of chatting and sending attachments, I still love this version and will be waiting for the full release of this software
