Where to find top Online sportsbook?

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

I happen to ask some of my friends if they know a website where I can find a list of safe and true sportsbook websites. Most of them don’t know any site that gives a list or reviews to any sports gambling sites. One of my friend asked her sister if she know one, she checked her notebook and finally gave us the URL of top online sportsbook.

When I got home, I checked the site and found out that Top USA Online Casinos is a free guide to assist players to find fun and safe online gambling destination. Its professional design makes it easier for any online users to view the top sports gambling sites and the following reviews about it. They really have a good review system and even break down the criteria to the users. The categories of their reviews are Software Rating, Trust factor and Bonus and Promotions.

I am really impressed with the system that they uses, with these we can be rest assured that the online casinos we are playing on or about to play on is really a good one.

Web Advertising in London

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

For those who are looking forward to promote their advertising business in a directory which is geographically focused in London, I suggest you to check out London Advertising Directory. It is primarily focused on accepting website links from advertising agencies or other related industries which are based in London.

London Advertising Directory accepts both Free and Paid Listing for as low as 4.99 GBP for a website listing with a nofollow attribute. Unlike other web directories, London Advertising Directory offers a great way for a site to be rated and be commented by a user. These votes will reflect the popularity and position of the listing in the directory.

London Advertising Directory’s website has a very clear navigation system which makes it easier for both advertisers and online searchers to find what they are looking for. Aside from the relaxing color of the site’s theme, the content of the site, categories, links and ads are perfectly arranged and does not hinder the site users to click links and explore the site.

Web designing with Ubuntu

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

gimp

As a freelance web designer, I really thought migrating to Ubuntu Linux will give me a really hard time. I never thought that Ubuntu Linux has a very good graphic design tool that can do what I am doing with Photoshop. Although Gimp is still way too different with Photoshop, I still see Gimp as a very powerful tool in graphic and web designing. It also possess features that Photoshop has.Pixel screenshot

Another tool is Pixel, although Pixel is a commercial software which means its not free and currently sold at $38, its interface is more similar to Photoshop than Gimp.

With these powerful tools along with Inkscape Vector Illustrator, my graphic and web design freelancing will experience a major leap and I am thinking of promoting these tools to freelance filipino designers or other freelance designers out there and be one with the open source community.

If still, you have no plans of using this tools that Ubuntu Linux provides, and choose to continue designing in Photoshop but you wish to migrate to Ubuntu Linux, then just download Wine so you can install Adobe Photoshop up to version CS2.
So what do you guys think? Are we gonna go open source?

Gimp and Photoshop CS2 in Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

After several days of exploring Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, I finally installed Photoshop CS2 in my desktop. For those who doesn’t know, Photoshop CS2 can only be installed in Ubuntu through Wine. Although it Photoshop looks a bit dull and runs a bit slower in Ubuntu, I still prefer to use it for now. I am really planning to explore Gimp, I am still not used to its interface but it really looks promising and I also browsed the internet for sample of images/graphics that was created in Gimp and I am starting to love it.

I am still using Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon as my secondary platform and Windows XP as my primary. I still need to get use to the programs in Ubuntu that will replace my current Graphics and Web Design tools.

I will be posting more about my experience in this two softwares and sample designs from Gimp on my next post.

My first glimpse at Ubuntu 7.10 “Gutsy Gibbon”

Friday, October 19th, 2007

Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy GibbonI finished downloading my ISO of Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon a few hours ago and was really excited to explore this new Linux distro.

Ubuntu 7.10 is one great operating System. At first look, you will notice that visually Gutsy Gibbon isn’t that different to Feisty Fawn although the theme is now much easier on the eye but the overall look is pretty much the same.

One aspect that you can feel much improved is its speed. Compare to previous versions of Ubuntu, Gutsy is more faster and snappier, from loading up the OS to clicking the menus and dragging everything on its desktop.

I am really impressed with the improved speed and will be checking the new features as time goes by and will be posting more bout this operating system in my later posts.
